Riders of Folsom Lake/American River Bike Trail
Does anybody from this area know any good bike paths around the lake? I usually come up from the bike trail and head into Beal's Point, but I know that it's going to start getting REALLY crowded in the coming months. I am looking for peaceful and secluded areas of the lake that I could get to coming from Lake Natoma.
Also, while I'm on the topic, has anybody ever tried bringing their fishing pole on a bike ride?

I guess you are referring to Lake Natomas. There is a trail all the way around it. No trail around Folsom Lake. You will need to travel on Salmon Falls Rd and Highway 49. After that, there are many options. Here is the basic loop

Wouldn't waste your time fishing. I scuba dive under the rainbow bridge several times a year. Seldom see any fish. Lots of stuff that people have dropped off the bridge though (money, rings, watches, knives, etc.)
