a follow up question on chaingate....

Did we ever get a report on why AS dropped back to the team car on stage 20? He kept looking down at his crank and chain.

I know these guys use state of the art latest and greatest...but did team Saxo make a poor decision or have a bad mechanic on their team? Seems really odd to have another chain problem while soft pedaling on stage 20.

I think riding 2200 miles you have a decent chance of a mechanical. Supposedly AS had a big chain angle when he dropped his chain. Also I believe AC is on the exact same equipment as AS.
