It's nearly always a great race, those really sharp climbs near to and at the finish make for an exciting finale. A pity to crash a couple of hundred metres from the line when still in contention...

Amstel may have one of my favorite finishing Kms of any race. What a killer.

What happened in the last crash (Nordhaug/Cunego)? Looked like Cunego launched into Nordhaug on his right side and blamed him afterwards.. Wtf?

I have to say I was a bit surprised by the finishing order. Gilbert tried like hell to close that gap but unfortunately he ran out of gas before the finish. I think if Freire had waited just a little bit longer, maybe he would have made it to the finish first. He almost pulled it off but I think he wasted to much energy in his initial breakaway. Terpstra looked like he was going to reel him in but just fell flat as soon as the climb started. Voeckler looked to be gaining ground but didn't have enough room left before the line.
