Micro-knob tires?
I've been running a very aggressive set of Kenda Kross 700x35's on my Tourist the last while. They are great off the pavement, but ride really sluggish on pavement. I thought I had seen a micro-knob style tire somewhere, but cannot locate them online. Any ideas? I'd like to stick with a 32 or 35 tire if I can.

Clement LAS 33s are great tires. Light weight and roll nicely. Mine measure about 36 mm wide on Dyad rims. Reasonably priced as well. Panaracer Gravel King 32s are another great option. I've got the 28s and they are fantastic .

Yes, even file tread Cyclocross tires feel sluggish compared to slicks. Look into CLEMENT CYCLING’S X’PLOR USH AND MSO TIRES.

Continental Cyclocross Speed in 700x35 will fit the bill. They aren't tubeless ready, however (not sure if you are looking for tubed or tubeless). They have a more or less solid ridge down the middle of the tread, and lasted me about 1,000 miles of roughly half pavement/half gravel riding before getting ragged.
Don't get the Clement X'PLOR MSO tires - the micro tread blocks are very soft, and my rear tire only lasted 500 miles. It is a nice tire with good traction, but the durability was very poor for my riding conditions on relatively sharp rocks.

Just did 90% gravel ride today on clement LAS, very sure footed even in sloppy clay. Not sure how long they'll last and they claim no flat protection. They are big for 33's

A little larger than a 35, but I like the Kenda Happy Medium in 700x40. File tread center, small knob sidewalks, soft ride, and wear pretty well for a soft tire.

Its not available in 40c. I have Schwalbe Dureme and they're great rails to trails threaded file tires. Much nicer than the Schwalbe Kojak slicks they replaced.

Thanks for the replies. I'd like to be able to keep my fenders with whatever I get. Can't run them with these knobby 35's I have on now. I need to get these ordered. I keep dragging my feet....

It boggles my mind to consider how they thought Refuse was a good name for their tire. I mean, even leaving aside the garbage meaning, is "to deny" any better? When I want my tires to grip, I don't want them to refuse, because that makes them refuse, if you dig what I'm sayin'.

It boggles my mind to consider how they thought Refuse was a good name for their tire. I mean, even leaving aside the garbage meaning, is "to deny" any better? When I want my tires to grip, I don't want them to refuse, because that makes them refuse, if you dig what I'm sayin'.
The Clements are great, I also really like the Gravel Kings I am running and they come in a 33. They are very fast tires.

I also run and like the 32mm GK's. I also have 40mm Kenda Happy Mediums but have yet to really ride them. They look slightly lankier then 40mm but for a higher thread count and tubeless ready tire and fairly light at $60 shipped for the pair I won't be picky.
