Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

AHHH! Duh of course that makes sense, thanks!

https://www.amazon.com/X-Tra-Rear-Bi...04J676PFT5TG8X Mentioned earlier, but I have one of these that is better fitting for my roadie when I'm expecting to ride after the rain or some chance of rain partway. It works pretty well but the bike does not come out very clean.

After riding with full fenders I don't think I would go for anything else.

I had a similar set that never fit my bike, but the mounts take seconds to attach.

Hey friend! Those clip on full fenders look promising, do they rattle?

When's the big move take place? I had Giant Branded versions and they didn't rattle. YMMV but they aren't super expensive if they need to go back. You can always see if some willing LBS would let you fit them as a test.

As @JReade had posted with the X-Tra-Rear clamp on fender, SKS also makes the X-Board that clamps onto the downtube, that will keep much of the grime and water off of you. I use this combo on a gravel grinder, so I don't have to worry about mud building up between the tire and fender, plus they are very light weight, and easily put on and taken off as desired.

Memorial day weekend. How are you liking it up there?

This is what I was worried about as well. Good to hear about this product, thanks.

It's cool, weather is fantastic so far. Elevation takes a little getting used to, it's hard to string together a ride that doesn't have a few thousand feet of climbing. Even the 20 mile "bayshore / davis" loop is a shade over 1000 ft climbing.

It's funny, all we do down here is dream of the mountains but I bet if we lived in them we'd wish for a long, flat route once in a while. #thegrassisgreenerontheotherside
