Hey,
I am looking to buy a nice cyclocross bike tomorrow. I am not necissarily going to race it this year but I would like something that is nice on and off the road thast can also serve my commuting needs. I am down to 2 bikes, the Fuji Cross Pro which I like because of its light weight and the Specialized TriCross sport which has nice dampening of bumps and smoother ride(could be the tires) but it feels heavier(not a lot but discernable). There is only a $50 difference in price. I am coming from a $200 Royce union that was like a Tank and both these bikes feel great but if I am going to spend this kind of loot I want to get the best bike. The Fuji seems to be there top of the line cyclocross while the Specialized seems to be the lowest model of the 3 they offer. I would appreciate as many replies as I can get from you all the experts and people with a better idea than me...many thanks

More Choices
I hate to throw a monkey wrench into your bike choices, but before you buy anything ride a Trek X0-1. They are light and tight!
Faced with nearly the same choices, I bought the Trek about 2 months ago and have no regrets.
Of course, much depends on your local or favorite bike shop and what they carry.
ENJOY!
