found rusting on the side of some guy's house...
hey! i don't mean to be a thread necromancer, but i just picked up one of these running around the neighborhood: saw it rusting away in this geezer's unkempt backyard and asked the owner about it.
(bought for $45 dollars -_-;... ran a mile and a half home and ran back with the cash, haha).
The previous owner was 90 years old and had had the bike for about 30 years, just letting it sit there. And though time has taken it's toll what with the tires coming apart, rusty chain, and frayed cables, the frame and paint seems to be mostly intact. The bike doesn't seem to have been ridden at all during the bicycle's life (the brake pads show absolutely no wear).
... anyway. was rather excited about the find. I'm still an amateur as far as bicycle mechanics/anything goes... but I'm pretty fascinated with the world of pedal power.
will post updates as they occur!
edit: gaah.. i don't care if it's a women's bicycle. i love the brake calipers. and the tube derailleur shifters. and the neat seat. and the... ahh..
i wonder if i'll ever be able to save enough to get an iro angus -_-;...
edit2 @ mod: move this to Vintage Bicycles forum?

Azzuri BC America Women's bike
How much would a bike just like this in perfect condition be worth?

Not much. It's an inexpensive "10-speed" from the 70s or 80s. They go for, at most, $100 in good condition.
