there was a cop car rolling behind us, and i think it distracted him and made him look back. as soon as he looked forward again he slamed right into the back of her and they went down! i stopped for a sec to see if everyone was ok, the cop rolled up right away so i took off.

I'm usuallly doing loops in the park a few times a week between 10 and noon. If you see a fast looking black Allez going as slow as possible around the loop, that's me! Say hi if you are so inclined.... i usually ride solo. would be nice to meet some bfers.

the mudguard i ordered from performance arrived in the mail today. i know it's not raining (yet) but i didn't want to put it in the bag so that's why i have it on..don't make fun of me for that.
you can make fun of me for the slightly squeaking old chain which i will be replacing when i get home after the laps.
that is if you can catch up.
suckas!

Anyone else been tailgated by the angry pseudo-tough-guy on a downhill MTB yet? He's usually wearing headphones and he likes to ride right up to runners and suddently swerve around them as if they're orange people cones.
He's been up my a&& like 3-4 times already this summer, and I've given up on trying to talk to him, as I mentioned he wears headphones. He's pretty strong but IMO rides like a real jerk. I can only sometimes lose him on that grand army hill, next time I will try a lot harder to break free. Yesterday he followed me and a roadie for 3-4 laps.

i was slowing to a stop by the side of the road when i heard this noise like a swarm of bees coming up on me, fast, and then he passed..big dude, huge bike...not sure how close he was behind me or for how long, but it was definently a WTF situation.
there is another thread in the forums somewhere all about this guy, maybe in road cycling.

He didn't really bother me too much until yesterday, when
1) He got upset that I was talking in spanish to the roadie and said that we were planning an attack against him
2) as I was passing him on the right hand side of the hill I said 'on your right' twice - yet he still managed to completely cut me off.
So.... 1) is proof that he can hear, and 2) is proof that he's a dweeb.
I'll try riding slow next time.

His bike is a full suspension job looks like a downhill bike to me. The bike is big, like a moped almost. Hmm. I'll try looking for that forum I'd like to know what other people say.
I've seen him scare the daylights out of runners on the road and trails. On trails, he skid stops behind runners so they jump out of the way. On the road, he'll buzz runners and look back to see their reaction.

Personally I don't like confrontation - but please be my guest.
This guy just needs to understand that if he's out to ride he shouldn't endager other people.
If all he did was draft me that would be as annoying as a little gnat, but it's the other stuff that gets to me. Plus he has huge tires and double disc brakes, so I don't really want him in front of me either.
Here's a (the?) road cycling thread on the guy: https://bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=200542
