So it's Friday night and I gotta catch a flight in the morning, instead of boozing I am opting for tearing around Brooklyn on the bike, maybe laps at park, something (with a few beers thrown in for good measure). Anyone down?

No.
I rode 20 laps in pp sunday morning (it was a beautiful day) and my legs still hurt (49x14). There was a lot of walkers, dogs, joggers, rollerbladers, weekend worriors and 1 world champion.
