You should investigate KHS' crash replacement policy.

?

This "crash replacement" Policy you speak of is news to me, and i will be doing that Now!.

I'm also going to swing my Biseagal. and see what they make of the dent. When it first happened i talked to them and they thought it was ok to ride and said they could fill it with silver for 40$ or replace the downtube for 170$ish. now that its grown i think i'm going to get a second opinion. But i really like my frame and only really want to replace it if i have to.

^ have you considered that leader track/fix frame. If you can swap out your fork/headset/bottom bracket its only $149 on ebay plus $40 shipping to Toronto. Not the prettiest looking thing but its a cheaper option. I was going to suggest the mercier frame from bikeisland.com but their all out of stock now.

Ok Tarck 1/2 guys. 1 cannot be done at the same time as 2 unfortunately so looks like we're going seperate. Here's the email reply: discuss

HI Rob
I could incorporate a track 2 session with my Sunday rec session from 12 to 2 PM or Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM. Just give me some dates in advance and I will let the rec riders know and they will probably join in with the group. Unfortunately we cannot run a LTR and track 2 session at the same time. LTR usually takes 1 1/2 hours to do a proper job. I am running out of dates for LTR but if you can give me some dates we may be able to make arrangements.

Thanks
Rob

I wonder what is *really* gonna happen with the port lands (Unwin & Cherry area). Its a dump right now, and I fully expect it to stay that way with the new power station going up. FYI: Hearn is an eyesore; they really ought to tear it down.

huh. I think a pig just flew past the window, a constructive post by JIT5!

edit: more topical: I know it's cold out there, but I didn't realize hell had frozen over. wah wah. *drum hit*

I actually kinda dig that bike in a way, particularly since it comes stock with full fenders. Practical! I haven't seen one in person though, but the Redline cyclocross frames I've seen have been pretty nice.

I thought SmartCentre owned all of that property? Or is their property more west? The one where the Home Depot was supposed to go...

I'd be curious to find out just how toxic it all is down there!!!
After Home Depot removed the tent city there, they were supposed to start building there. That land is full on Toxic.

Can you picture trying to slow enough to enter a parking lot there? Or coming out of a parking lot onto Lakeshore? I see bad planning all round me.... 2million dollar condos in the parking lot across from the Star? Odd how did that land developer get on the waterfront commission? I smell conflict of interest and further evidence of colossal mismanagement, or borderline high level criminal wrongdoing. Shame Mr. Miller, shame....

I think it all started with Lastman and his crew. The ***** that that guy pulled is almost laughable...the Shephard subway line that cost $1B that nobody uses, buying $10M worth of computers for $80M, the Empress condo scam, and those are just the ones that are well-known. I can only imagine what went on that we never found out about. I just noticed the other day that Bad Boy is now re-named to Lastman's Bad Boy, I guess capitalizing on his "celebrity" status further.

edit: That Redline seems okay but for $600+shipping, I think you can find something better on CL. You could even convert it (if it has to be fixed) for a pretty cheap price. The fixed wheelsets on eBay are getting really low in price nowadays, something pretty good can be had for $150 or so.

I'm pretty sure that "Cyclemotive" on Bathurst, just south of Queen carries Redline.

Ugh... during the warmer months the lakeshore mup that runs parallel to Unwin is so sketchy at night... random guys walking through the bush at night... gotta be closet queer hangout and/or drug scene. If they hadn't built that friggin' power station and torn down Hearn, the land could have been used for some pretty nice condos.

I'm certain I want no private living down there at all, public access only as far as I'm concerned. Conservation areas, U of T solar tests, power plants I have no issue with, Marinas, sailing schools etc are all good to me. The bush party, men sneaking around the bushes needs to be addressed indeed.

Condos are DOMINATING the waterfront down here by Yogne despite the cities assurances that PUBLIC construction was going to happen here, so far one park waay off by Spadina is built. Build for need not for greed. We need more free public access to the water front without having to thread between enclaves of the well heeled getting all the nice views of sunsets on the lake.

I have no idea. I just saw it on cyclocrossontario.com. Briana said "details coming soon", but I would assume it will be the same sort of schedule as previous years.

That's 56cm C-T on a compact frame. The "56cm" has a 59.4cm effective top tube.
