Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Do I or Don't I?

I am considering tweaking the look of my road bike this weekend. I am thinking of swapping out my Fizik Antares saddle (White/Green) with another same saddle (Black/White) and changing my bar tape back to factory issued White.

I am digging the Black/White saddle with silver lettering as it matches the bike, and wheels perfectly. This is totally unneccessary but that is the way I roll.

What do you think? Change it or leave it alone?

I look forward to your thoughts.

I prefer the green but without wind tunnel data there is no way to know what's best.

Two ways to go. Either keep the current saddle and tape and have your rims powder coated to match, OR switch to the black/white scheme.

Will you ride it more or stare at it more? If the latter, maybe leave it alone and ride it more. I think it looks good now and maybe it will look a little better but that's up to you. How much does it bother you?

Thanks for your input all. I hadn't planned to change a thing until I saw that saddle with the matching Fizik font color to the lazer etched Boyd wheel labels.

I think i am just going to leave it alone and save myself the $$$ and the explanation to my wife why I made the change...that is a losing battle for sure!

A little green Duct Tape will make everything better.

i like the look of the bike the green is nice, that being said if you need a seat and tape then buy a seat and tape. but just get out and ride the bike looks great as is, maintain the bikes working needs and i usually am the only performance limitation on the bike.
so have fun and ride

I wish the saddle was black and green, that would be killer.

Tough choice but I definitely wouldn't ride the bike again until you figure it out.

Wrong answers from everyone.

The correct answer is to get another bike and put the saddle and bar tape on that. Best of both worlds plus you have a spare bike.

For a bike that looks that nice I think it's crazy to try and change.

Congratulations on a great parody of the kind of nonsense questions asked on BF.

(then again, if it was straight, I apologize for any unintended offense)
