Good riddance, that old thread was kind of musty.
We should have a theme for L8.
Bears maybe. @seattle forest had a bear encounter today. Who has a bear story?

Low battery on the laptop. Time to power down and recharge.

Heathpack, I was officially a runner as of about this time last year; I was just much too lazy about selling the tri bike until I wanted to make sure it was GONE before we moved north.

rjones28, I still have my old "real" bike. It's just only used on the trainer, for cross-training. No way I could make a meaningful profit on selling it and buying a new trainer rat that I wouldn't hate, and I have a lot of history with that bike.

Mrs. rpen celebrated her birthday with me (wasn't that nice?) at the Houston Brennan's Restaurant last night . It is owned by the Commander's Palace (New Orleans) branch of the family, not the same folks exactly who operate Brennan's in New Orleans, but their cousins. Anyway, nobody in Houston does it better, nobody. Those folks have sharpened the intersection of the Louisiana and Texas cuisines to a very fine point. The two tastes are just beautifully melded into a whole new experience. It is imperative to taste the Crawfish Enchilada. And the service and ambiance are wonderful. Highly recommended for special occasion dining.
