How often do you change inner tubes on your roadbike ?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Why was the original question asked? What does the word "ect" mean? Neither make sense to me.

I suggest you look at the OPs recent threads (at least the ones that have not been deleted by the mods) and draw your own conclusion.

I suggest if you can't handle this thread or the internet in General you have bigger problems than this thread.
As for people telling others to "look up my threads" ive posted 20 times in the last 6 months get over yourselves its not about [you].

There are some serious mal-adjusted lurkers here.

I'm on at least a dozen forums and this is the weirdest.

I believe the above is directed at me. Let's be honest, your recent activity in this forum suggests impulsivity. Clearly there are all types in this place, but if you can't take some ribbing you may want to reconsider. Riding the bike matters more than silliness in bike forums.

Peace.

If posts about carbon shoes & inner tubes are above your skill set you may want to hang out somewhere else.

The questions don't get any easier.

As for [my] posts they are my business and nobody else's.

Go assassinate someone else's character.

Stop putting them in public forums then.

Also, why on Earth would you consider changing out a perfectly good tube?

I just glanced at your posting history, and you have about 200 posts since last August.

Tubes typically don't spontaneously start leaking due to age. They'll get trashed another way long before that. I also bring a couple spares on my rides so I could just replace it when I'm "55 miles from home". Granted I don't do a lot of 110+ mile rides. Maybe things are different for ultra-long distance riders like yourself.

I carry one extra at all times except when a do crazy long rides with a Triathlete, with him i carry 2.
Ive been lucky for the most part with flats, i try to avoid them at all cost.
The gas company has been tearing up my street the last month and the gravel & asphalt has tore up my new road tires.

Not too happy with that.

I ride hard and break parts, just wondered how tubes held up.

Best advice i've heard is change tubes with tire changes.

Who's "us" ... you mean you or the Posse ?

Hey man do what you want, i don't take the internet too srsly.

Im telling you this forum is "tainted".

I srsly doubt most these guys get out of their moms basement let alone do 150 miles a week.

Forums are about exchanging common interest & ideas about similar experiences.

Not slamming someone because they ask a fuggin question.

FWIW ... $ 0.02

You should definitely do that then!

But maybe it was posted by one of those tube company shills that frequent the forum.

Us = everyone who posted anything in this thread because their is pretty much a consensus that you use the tubes until they fail you.

I'm pretty sure you do take the internet too seriously.

Meh. I agree we have a rash of CNC threads.

You're probably right. No one one bikeforums actually rides bikes.

I can tell this won't get any better. I'm clairvoyant like that.

OP, you got all the straight answers you're going to get here.
