Carbon paste for shifter clamps?
With carbon bars I've read that it's a good idea to use carbon paste for the stem interface. Is there any need for it at the shifter clamps? Thanks.

Unless you ride on perfect roads. Yes.
I didn't carbon paste my brifters on my roadie. But I did assembly paste both stem and brifters on my unpavement/touring/gravel/etc bike. The more bumps on the surface, the more likely that stem/brifters will slip from adjustment. Riding on the hoods especially with say potholes or roots.
