Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Retouch paint for Ultegra 6800

I wonder if anyone knows about a specific retouch paint.

I scratched the crank with my cleat.

Automotive touch-up paint at the auto parts store. Sure to find a match.

But I know some folks like a clean machine. Pride of ownership of whatever, I suppose, but chips and scratches are inevitable.

I'm curious how you scratched it with your cleat. Metal cleats?

I can't wait to get my 5800 and 6800 drivetrain and have the war scars to go with it. Same reason I like my black pocket knife, the scratches look cool.

I know this is an old thread, but I just got the Charcoal Beige T7 Ford touch up paint as per this post and it's not even a remote match to the blue/gray Ultegra 6800 color. However, it is a very close match to the Ultegra R8000 darker color. I have both groupsets, so not a total waste, but I am still looking for a good 6800 color match.
