Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lance II Road shoe

How many OCP points for the Nike Lance II shoe. I need to buy a pair of shoes, and I love the way these things look. Pretty uncool of me, eh? Can't help it. Like the shoes and need a pair. If not them, what?
Sick of the toe clips and just ordered a new road bike. No, it is not a Madone.

You have just forced your way in as OCP CEO, you corporate raider you. Who else is going to spend real money on cycling shoes based on looks and name association?

No question about it. I like that yellow shoosh! I used to wear the Nike running shoe when the first hit the market, dark blue very light, with a black waffle tread. There is nothing that comes close to them now, that I know of, but thats a bit off subject. Mea culpa.

Yes, thanks for posting this info. Does the "-.5" mean just half size, as it generally does in any regular shoe or, do the half size in cycling shoes generally provide a wider fit (even wider than perhaps the next size up)?

To make the best use of those shoes, you need to use them with d/a 7800 pedals, on a madone 5.9 SSL, while wearing a yellow credit lyonnais jersey and a 'lone star edition' giro atmos.

[edit]: I forgot the livestrong bracelet. duh.

Sorry it took so long for me to come up with this question, but when I get so busy that either my forum time or time in the saddle suffer, I end up typing less, hammering more. The question: What shoe is Plushee? (that is a word) Can you recommend a shoe that is effective and comfortable? Thanks

The pricing is amazing on this site, but... I live in the greater NY area. This is just too long a drive. And they will not ship

Hey! I have those shoes! I'm no OCP!

Got them half price at my LBS annual sale. Best shoe ever, very comfortable and work very well with ULTEGRA pedals too!

Careful who you tar with that clumsy brush of yours

Well, From my experience it seemed like a really stiff shoe. I personally think that the sidi megas (for me) were the most plush, but again its personal preference. If I am going to get new shoes (which is going to happen within the next year) I will probably get the top of the line shimanos, very nice shoes, a little bit more stiff (the sides for me were a little more stiff, than sneaker like, if that makes sense) but better deal for the shoe.

But I would recommend the most that you find a shop near you that has a good variety of shoes that you can sit with a salesman/woman and find the right one.
