Unique Vintage Steel
He does seem to sell a good number of older bikes. I highly doubt it's stolen stuff as was that story in velonews. They're all older bikes from mid 90's and back. What I can't figure out is how he's coming to find that many older decent grade road bikes in DALLAS!
To be honest I emailed him to ask if he ever came across any roadbike frame sets as I'm in need of a 58cm lugged steel frame for a new build.

i messaged him through ebay about a bike. the front brake caliper looked to be bent and the brake pads were at very noticable angles to the rim. i asked about it. my first message asked if the brake was bent. his response was just "no"
i replied by asking him why the brake looked the way it did in the picture.
no response.
keep in mind this was shortly after the bike was listed, so there was plenty of time to respond before the end of the auction.

yea, putting good looking women on your auctions does work... I sold some atv/dirt bike gear a while back and decided to have my wife wearing it, but nothing else... good lookin women wearing only a chest protector and/or a helmet got a lot of comments
On average most of the parts did sell for a bit more than I had expected!
I did get more "any more pics of the model" questions than I expected though!

I've been watching his auctions for a couple of months because he's within 20 miles of my house and I'm looking for a bike. I've been riding an old, cheap, WalMart type mountain bike for a couple of months and I need a real road bike now.
He also buys his parts off of ebay. It appears that he "embellishes" most of these bikes with components he got off of there to improve his prices. I wouldn't count on any of his bikes to be representative of his description. I vowed never to buy one of his bikes because I believe I've seen too much deception on his part.

do you realize how pathetic we are? The woman is reasonably attractive, and somewhat suggestively dressed. But if you're looking for hot women, you could do a lot better than this. Any girl with a nice figure, and we go ga ga. Pavlov's dog.

She wears a lot of skimpy tops but she's always in long pants. What gives?

So true. But it is a nice destraction. Are there even any other threads close to a much fun as this one? I think Trek, cannondale and the like would sell even more bikes if our LBS used this approach

Or maybe that 25 dollar pickup fee gets you a little something extra...
