First ride ever. Can't give my opinions(yet) because I've been riding the wide mtb tire on flat pedals over winter. Clipless feel a little foreign to me right now but should feel better in a few rides

Some great looking bikes in here.

I'll have to take some updated photos of my Lemond Victoire and post them up.

My Ti bike is much different than most of the roadie ones here... it's a wacky 650b all-road / mixed terrain touring rig :-D

Very sweet, I'm jealous too! Very artsy and hand made not stamped in, very nice, I wish more custom bike makers did that sort of thing.

I am still lusting over this image, such a sweet touch. I hope to see one "in the wild" but they must be pretty rare.

Heck, I've only got one shot of a real Merlin in the wild in all my years and i't's not a very good one. ;)

Wow, this is damn near the exact bike I've been building in my head for a long time now, right down to the handlebar rando bag! I do an urban commute on a steel 26" wheel bike with Pasela's or on my Langster with Gatorskins. I love them both, but for different reasons. In my mind, a modern geometry titanium frame on 650b Hetre tires with disc brakes would make the perfect urban commuter. Can you please post your riding impressions? Is it worth a possible divorce?

That sounds very similar to the bike that this one replaces (a cheap old 80's steel Hard Rock road-ish conversion with fat slicks, finally had to retire after rust ate it). This guy is noticeably more comfortable and faster. It's like a really fast cloud. Even though it weighs about 3.5 lbs more than my carbon road bike, I don't notice it at all. Really loving the Ultegra 11 speed compact gearing combined with the a 11-32 cassette -- I've taken this bike up the steepest streets in SF (on a ride called the Se7en Hells... some long 30%+ grades, one on cobblestones) and was one of only a couple people (out of a lot) able to clean every single climb. The disc brakes are extremely nice in the rain -- I was skeptical, but being able to stop consistently in any conditions without worrying or thinking about it, is a surprisingly huge plus.

Looking at all these, I am getting a real interest in a Ti bike. The Seven Axiom SL and Alchemy Aiolos look good but I may end up looking at Potts. The only decision for me will be disc vs rim brakes. I'll see how discs work out on the two I have now. Not knowing too much about all the custom builders out there, those three looks the most appealing to me (at this point).

Check out Firefly -- if I were to get a new custom Ti bike, I'd go with them, hands down.
