Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

70 miler in the morning and my Computer is DEAD

70 miler coming up in 10 hours and my Computer is DEAD

Vetta V100HR Everything works, cadence, HR monitor but NO SPEED !!!!! ACK

Changed 3 magnets, switched batteries from cadence to speed sensor, removed sensor, reinstalled sensor, NOTHING.

I washed the bike today and it may have gotten a drop or two on it but not wet at all. Inside is dry as a bone.

This is going to ultra suck if I cant get it working.

Guess Ill be watching my cadence and HR for 4 hours

Sucks!

One of my computers (not that one--odd) does this. I pull the display off the mount, dry it, clean the contacts and re-install.

Just take the bloody computer off the bike and you won't have to look at HR or cadence. Just go out and ride, dammit!

Check the contacts on the reverse of the computer and mount - it could be sweat has gotten in there and over time it's oxidized the surfaces (particularly the one contact for the speed signal). use a q-tip and some alcohol (or WD-40).
