Compare Notes on Michelin Pro 2 Race Special Edition
Hi anybody else using these tires, just done 500km on my first set. Was wondering what the durability was like ? How many km's or miles can I expect out of them.
From my point of view, comfort is excellent, speed is fantastic, using latex tubes. No cuts or punctures yet.
Last set of tires were Conti GP 4000's, these however seem more compliant and ride softer at 115psi.
Only drawback is the distinctive colour and limited availability which make them more expensive than most clinchers.

Having just recently ridden a pair of limiteds on a club member's CF trek, I'd say there is little to no difference between them and the Pro2 Race. They feel identical to me on a bike with the same frame and wheels as my own. Michelin makes some great bike tires.

issues for me
I put some pro race 2s on my bike and do not feel as confident in the corners as I did on my GP 4000s. The pro races seem to chatter and feel like they want to slide out from under me on hard fast corners. i am going to switch back to the GPs I was hoping that they may improve once I put some miles on them but for now I am taking the corners slower. All that being siad i am sure there are folks on here who have had the opposite experience.
