Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Heavy by road bike standards but came to my door for $250 and I plan for it to take a beating. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

My main ride

Ritchey Logic 2.0 (grey) 59cm
Campagnolo 11 Record/Chorus
HED Belgium Plus/ DT Swiss 350

Oh and my dream bike was stolen in 2010 so this is what I replaced it with. I'm pretty happy with it, so I guess it's semi dream.

I just purchased a used Felt F90 and had some work put into it. Excited to get riding again, as I haven't in a while.

The latest road bike to make it into my stable is this NOS mid 90's Vitus Argal built up with Shimano R8000 Ultegra and some decent C.F. clinchers.

No decals on this one, all the details/logos are painted.

Out on the road.

I might have chosen some different handlebars, but that's a nice looking bike.

Well, I do love me some Cinelli 64 Giro D'Italia bars.

But all also admit I really love the Easton EA70s and EC90SLX bars I put on other builds recently. Just hard to stay with a quill stem that'll work with 31.8 bars without looking fugly.

New about 6 weeks ago

2017 Specialized Roubaix Sport SL4. I already had the Sella Italia seat and added the white tape and shifter covers to match which blend with the white Specialized logo on the downtube. It's a terrific bike with 10r carbon fiber frame and 105 shifters and derailleurs. I bought it NOS for a great price.

That is a really nice looking bike.

Big ring, and smallest cog would look better for the glamour shot

Nice Canyon! Did you buy new? Considering an Endurace since I'm in the mood to move to disc brakes and their pricepoint is hard to beat.

Thanks. Bought it new, came last week in the big Canyon box to my front door. It’s an Aeroad CF SL 8.0 Disc.
