I haven't been this excited about a bike since I was 12 years old and my parents got me my first 5 speed "racer". I rode that thing for miles and miles.
That was 30 years ago

This is my road bike as it currently stands. It's an early 90's Faggin. Ridiculous paintjob with extremely minor blemishes. It's never been built up (I had to chop around 6cm off the steerer tube) I'm purchasing 2008 Campy Centaur for the build. Probably going with just a typical wheel build, MA3's or something of the likes. I practically wet myself upon seeing that I could get an Arione in that color. Hope you like, and I'll post non-cellphone pics when It's done. (more on Flickr)

Thanks...that was one of the main reasons I bought it. I liked the "traditional" look. It has been a great bike. My longest ride was a 400 km brevet last June. The bike was very comfortable. I am considering getting a Brooks Team Professional saddle. I have had one before, but I need a new one. I was a little numb after the long ride.

Got a new frame for myself, I got fed up getting covered in cack so got a winter frame and actually made sure it fitted, unlike my old one...
I intend to get a good bike when I sell my hi-fi speakers next year. Possibly Litespeed Siena/Ikon or Trek Madone or a Look/Chorus build. Got to try them out. Actually, got to sell my speakers...

My fleet, all but one at least
1. Here is my newest Mongoose Bosberg carbon with Sram Rival. Great great bike for the money.
2. Litespeed Solano with Dura Ace 10 speed. Traded in my VOrtex for this one and very happy I did.
3. Trek 5500 with Dura Ace 9 speed. Love this paint scheme, favorite of all the Tours won my LA. Don't care if I look like a groupie, I am a grown boy and can do what I want and not care what the pompous ***** roadies think.
4. My Scott Speedster flat bar for tooling around town. Ultegra 9. Nice bike.
5. Litespeed Classic, my oldest ride and most reliable and bullet proof. Dura Ace 9 speed. Kinda my beater bike now.
