Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Those wheels are about 4 notches below the rest of that Colnago. Some Neutrons would be much more fitting. Either way, your bike is amazing.

EDIT: Nevermind, you already have Eurus on order.

Thanks guys.
About the wheels, I was trying to decide between Neutron Ultra, Eurus or even gold Shamal... and found some second hand Eurus with very little use so I will give them a try

A friend of mine attemped a similar thing. This was it's maiden voyage. Unfortunately 3 hours later it was wrapped around a guard rail. Very sad.

Don't be afraid to take that piece of plastic film off the RD.

Otherwise, nice bike.

That's very very VERY nice. Refering to the other topic: is this how they build it or did they make some changes following your personal preferences?

When I first started planning the build I wanted to go with SRAM Force/Red and Mavic R-Sys, and an Easton kit, but due to a tighter than anticipated budget after Christmas I made the leap back to Shimano and placed an order for Ultegra/Ksyrium SL and an FSA kit.

The day after I sent my specs out Jim at Beyond Fabrications contacted my teammate that was organizing the team order saying he had a leftover show model in my size, same bar/stem size, unridden, '06 Record, Eurus Wheels, Newton stem/bars for roughly the same price I would have paid for the Ultegra build. I jumped on that without even hesitating and the next day I had my bike. Sheer dumb luck.

The only changes I made: I put my own pedals on. I was going to swap the Fizik Aliante out for my Specialized Toupe but the Aliante is growing on me and I may keep it.

For the general public, when dealing with Beyond Fabrications you either buy a frameset and build it yourself or buy your own spec'd out build from them directly. Jim is extremely accommodating and his sponsorship deal with our team is a huge asset.

1996 Lemond Maillot Jaune. Full 8-Speed Chorus and my newest love...unfortunately due to incredibly sucky financial situations I might have to say goodbye to it soon. Any ideas on how much I should ask? (Pedals have been removed since!)

Grrr, such a nice rig to get rid of. I unfortunately had to axe off my old-school Ciocc, which I miss and regret greatly:/
