[QUOTE=Yogurt;5954025]1996 Lemond Maillot Jaune. Full 8-Speed Chorus and my newest love...unfortunately due to incredibly sucky financial situations I might have to say goodbye to it soon. Any ideas on how much I should ask? (Pedals have been removed since!)
I'd be surprised if you got more than $700 for it. Not that it isn't a nice bike, it's the fact that it's 12 years old, and unless they're a collector of retro gear, or simply have a hard-on for old Lemond's, most people wouldn't pay much for a bike so long in the tooth. Then again, I could be wrong. I have no experience selling/buying mid-90's road bikes.

My new ride - $750 of fun
THis is my budget based build up of an OCR3 frame. It is promarily used parts, Tiagra shifter, 105 derailers, FSA compact gossemer cranks - 50-36, Specialized Alien saddle, Reynolds Alta Race/areo comps wheels, ritchey bars. Only truly new parts are the Bottom bracket, the saddle, and the 11-28 SRAM cassette.

Christmas Presents finally installed.
Deda Newton shallows
Thomson X2
Ksyrium Es's
Kinda fugly with the greyish Pro Race 2s, but whatever.
No white door, as it's -10 and snowing right now
Chain filthy from riding trainer for last month 1/2.

Absolutely love the Zipps - had Fulcrum Racing 5 Evo's on it previously and had no issues with them - but the Zipps seem to roll on and it seems easier to maintain speed once I get up to the high teens/20's. Quite frankly, though - I just love the way they look on the bike.
Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. Plan for this year if I don't somehow sway myself into getting another bike is to slowly upgrade components to Record . . . slowly being the operative word.

I know that a lot of BFers don't like all the decals on wheels but I really like the total look of your bike with the red accents on the wheels.
BTW, I lived through the era where everything was pantographed (engraved) with names and logos and I like the current decal "craze" better.

Here are the bikes that I ride. I have never entered a race and ride mostly for the love of the ride. The T800 is my commuter for above 40 degree days (I'm not hardcore enough to commute in freezing temps) and the black synapse is my dress up in spandex and pretend I'm Lance for four hours bike. Bottom line...just like my kids; I love 'em both equally!

haha! you're not the first to say that. the angle of the pic actually makes the saddle-to-stem drop look crazy huge (i too wondered when i saw the preview) , but in reality, it's a lot lot less aggressive!

I am glad to finally be joining this thread.
I don't have pics yet, but I am riding a Cannondale R1000 (CAAD3 frame), Ultegras, CF slice fork.
Its been great so far.
