Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah, definitely. Too bad I sold it before ever testing it out in a race; I would never race on those Spinergys though, once you finally get them spinning, it's the next corner already-a TT though I might consider them for.

Thanks. Luckily I still feel the same way everytime I ride it.

While it may not be kosher, I've always loved the rainbow stripes. Goodness knows I haven't earned them. I actually have the 2 sizes of the WCS Team Toupe; I'm using the smaller one, although I'm still not sure which one is better.

Total shill, and proud of it.... Just brought it home yesterday. Did a quick 15 miles this evening, feels great. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

I agree. I have a Scattante (selling it though) and they do ride very very nicley for the price. I feel that its lame to have tape over the name, they're good frames.

That sure is a sweet looking ride. I love how the tires/tape/saddle all match the frame. Beautiful. Nice picture clarity too .

Hey was that bike in Woodcock Cycles the other day (maybe 3 weeks ago-ish) sitting in the area where they do the fittings with an uncut-steer tube? I was in there one day with my buddy and I stopped when i saw that bike and admired it for awhile. If that wasn't yours, then it looked exactly like yours.

SUPER hot bike, that photo doesn't do it justice, you should be proud.

1989 Team Miyata

Here is my finally completed 1989 Team Miyata. The frame is a 58cm (that or 60) made of STB or spline triple butted steel. The group consists of mostly Ultegra and Ultegra SL, with a 600 crankset and headset, Brooks B17 Champion Special saddle, Kalloy post (need to replace), Araya front rim laced to a Shimano Exage Sport hub and Mavic Aksium rear wheel, and finally SR bars with Serfas tape and Shimano DA bars and 9 speed downtube shifters.

It's really fun.

Comments welcome.

PS I know about the valves not being perpendicular to the ground, but I'm not going to retake the pictures.

Hey Goldfish, what a coincidence. That was my bike in Woodcock's shop. Thank you for the compliment. I've been going to Tim's shop for years, drooling over the road bikes, never buying. Then I finally bit the bullet, drank the kool-aid, call it what you like, and got the Diva. I f I had realized how much fun it was gonna be, I would have acted sooner.

That's the bike I wanted, but I had to settle for the Allez. I just got it a few days ago. My picture stinks since I took it in my dark house.
