Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sounds like it could be user error. In the computer world we use to give out iD10t error cards to people that kept making the same user errors over and over.

I suppose I will share this updated pic with you all. I changed it up a bit. Got a new 42g lighter black saddle, and changed the bartape to black as well. It's getting there. 14.35lbs as pictured.

2000 Trek 5200 all ultegra except dura ace shifters. It just underwent a weight weenie reduction diet and now is no longer an obese 18.8lbs but now 17.13lbs (still heavy i guess but great for my winter/bad weather ride). weight includes pedals, bottle cage holder, computer, and bell

I never actually weighed the frame alone. According to the weight weenies listing page it should be around 1300g range (the listing was for a 60cm 1320g) mine is a 54cm so maybe lighter, but again i've yet to actually weigh the frame alone.

It's actually a pretty comfortable setup. The brifters are much easier to operate with this location as opposed to riding the hoods and trying to work them from the top. unusual but works for me. This frame is one of the first true aero frames ever designed the downtube is very tall but only about an inch wide. It's definitely not your run of the mill cookie cutter bike but hey I guess that's why I like it.

Ugly as sin, but I like where your head's at. The green chain really pulls it all together.
