Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The Flying Scotsman on DVD

It came out today. Best Buy didn't seem to care though as I didn't see it in their "New Release" section. I ordered mine on Amazon and they offered me Breaking Away for $5 more, so I picked that up too. It's a good movie and since cycling related movie's are few and far between, you should pick it up.

I just finished watching it this evening; I wasn't as emotionally stirred as I expected from such a triumph-over-adversity story, but there were plenty of worthwhile moments. Oh, and be prepared for lots of in-your-face product placement by Specialized.

that's because it's a small, unsuccessful, independent film.

I was waiting for it to come out here, but then suddenly it'd already passed while I wasn't looking...

I saw it here in philly, there were some free showings and it was in the big indie theater (the ritz) for a month maybe?
