HRM - Polar F11 vs RS200
I've narrowed down to 2 HRMs mainly for biathlon/duathlon trainings. Any feedback or other product suggestions would be appreciated!!

2 very different products.
The f11 is for fitness, while the RS200 is more for running/sports. Main reason is the lap timers and interval training in the RS200. The f11 is more for just going to the gym and getting on the spinbike or elliptical and working out. The Rs200 will also have sportzones, you can also see time spent in/above/below multiple target zones. The f11 will just give you 1.
Did you also need speed/distance for running?

Mainly using it for cycling/running and ideally want to know my target heart rate so i know when to push myself harder during my training.
I do know you can get the RS200sd which comes with a foot pod. Do you recommend that? It looks a bit bulky

The F11 will work perfect for you. I don't have a power meter so I use my Polar F11 to train with heart rate zones. I know what zone I am going to be working in for every ride/trainer session and it is very easy to put the zone number in.

The footpod is excellent. It weighs around 60grams with the battery, so while it may look a little on the large side, if you dont feel it at all on your foot who cares how big it looks?
Question is, do you need 1 target zone or a few? Looking for intervals/laptimers ?

The standard med-xl that comes with both should fit you. It may be a bit snug as the max stretch is about 40 inches. If its too snug, just order the larger size XXL off our website at www.shoppolar.com.

WTF is this about the F11 only having one target zone....I have used the F11 for a few years, and generally I love it. I used it for all of my cycling and running, gym work, etc. You can define 3 zones and see time spent in each zone along with many many other great features.
I still use it for non bike workouts, but my Garmin has taken the place on bike.

The F11 has one target zone you can preset.
You are thinking of the KUF program. In which the program defines 3 intensity zones(you can not preset them). Light, moderate and hard, based on your Ownzone test. When you have and are following the KUF program you can target and 'fill' the boxed zone, the boxed zone is based on the programmed day and your ownzone result.

For people looking for accurate information on the F11, just shoot Polar Customer/Tech Support an email, chat online or give us a ring. You can even access the following page or download a user manual.
Under "Basic Features". HR SET. Shows 1 zone.
https://www.polarusa.com/Products/fse...p?cat=consumer
Also a screen shot of my simulator is below. Which shows 1 high limit, and 1 low limit. That is it.

I used an F11 regularly for about a 18 months and then it stopped working. Recently took it to an auth service center and the metal parts on the strap (the ones the snap into the transmitter) were corroded. They said you're supposed to unhook the transmitter from the strap after each use and dry off the metal parts. What a PITA. I think it's a poorly designed unit if you need to do this after each use. Otherwise it's a good product. I would not buy it again just because I want something that will continue working without having to constantly worry about it when I'm done with my workout.
