Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have/ will again shave my whole leg (s). I have pretty hairy Italian legs and pretty thick hair so it take some time to do a good job. I stopped when i moved in to the dorms simply because of not having the time. I let it all grow back, I'd say it took about a month to go from clean shaven to "back to normal" it doesn't look any different than it did before, not thicker not longer. I read somewhere that hair appears thicker when it starts go grow back because its got cut off at an angle and is more visible. I have waxed a small part of my leg once just to test and that hair grew back less noticeable

Actually what happend was, i was playing with fire putting axe on my arm and what not. Lit it and hey you arm is on fire and it doesnt hurt! Cool! Burned the hair off my arm, so i shaved the other to match and then i was part of the "cool" crowd because they did it. Didnt really do it to be "cool", i guess i phrased my earlier statement incorrectly.

A few years back, I started shaving my legs because my physical therapist would use kinesio tape on my knee and it looked dumb having a 12" band of hair shaved on your leg from just below the knee to just above it.

This summer I started shaving my legs and arms because I live in an area that is overrun with gnats. I got really tired of looking down on my rides and seeing dozens of live and dead gnats entangled in sweaty body hair.
