Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Would changing my fork affect handling?

I have a good deal on a EC90SLX that i can put on my 2008 Six13. I do NOT have the premium fork, standard Ultra with aluminum steerer. Does anybody have the weight on that fork btw?

So my question is if i put this

on this

Would the bike handle different? I don't know what the rake is on a 2008 Cannondale Ultra fork so i am here asking the BF Gods. Guide me....

Is there a difference in rake?
If there isn't then there will be no change, if there is a difference, then there will be a change.

You're going to trade the fork you have now... for that? IT has like 800 words and stickers on it.

Ask the shop you bought it from, they should have specs in the dealer catalog.

The Easton decales match the subtleties of the C'dale frame.

If the 6/13 with ultra fork has the same geometry as my caad8 with premium fork, then the rake will change from 45mm to 43mm. I have read somewhere (i.e. unsubstantiated) that length of the Easton forks may be a little different as well (shorter on Easton).

FWIW, I'm switching my c'dale premium fork to 90sl due to damaged fork from a crash.

I'm a newbie. From the discussions I've read, the switch will make it less twitchy, but the shorter axle to crown length (?) makes it slightly more; balancing it out.

BTW, 45mm rake for premium is the info I got from C'dale. The Easton fork detail is only from online forum searches.

I am not a fan of the Easton EC90SLX. Like a noodle when cornering. It's light (whoop dee doo), and it does everything else a fork is supposed to do just fine, but cornering is down right scary if you ask me. It ruined the handling on my Lynskey and has since been replaced.
