Does the Garmin 705 work with a Powertap hub?
Garmin's site sort of suggests that it might.
Has anyone tried this? I'd like to get alititude data on my Powertap 2.4 wireless but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this. If the 705 can read the Powertap's signal that would be cool, I could just carry it and leave the Powertap head unit at home.
Then it will be easier to make up excuses for why I'm so slow...

I imagine it'll take a new hub.

Just bought a 705, with part of my rationale being to upgrade my PT in the future, so I'm banking on it being upgradeable.
But if it isn't then, there's always Ebay for the Old PT,and then a new PT, or SRM.

Geez, keep up on stuff guys. It's been known for a while that they are updating the hubs to work with the 705.
