Hi lohump,
Hot. The pictures don't do these bikes justice. I know because I've seen both of them in person.

Actually I think both are kind of hot. The Scatante is what it is, but it looks like it is very well set up. Aggressive saddle to bar height, and nice touch with the red saddle, cables, and hoods. Looks like a very competent ride.

thanks. the frameset was a graduation gift (2004) from my father. i had a full build group but no frame. at the time he was very ill and unemployed due to said health conditions. i want to upgrade it, but dont have the heart to. it may just be a scattante, but it is my scattante.

Yea that's what everyone says about the saddle. It seems that I have to succumb to peer pressure and get a Selle Italia Kit Carbonio Flow. Thank God for christmas!

Have you been fitted to your bike? The saddle looks very pushed up.
You might want to consider a zero setback post if that is your correct fit.

I was gonna say, the Saddle also look low, as if maybe the frame is too big. But that's most likely it looks way better now..

Both bikes are hot! I'm really liking the Bottechia and the color scheme a bit more though... Something about the shiny lugs, seat stay, chain stay and fork that just makes it pleasing to look at.
Here's mine. 2010 Schwinn Paramount Series 9. All carbon. All SRAM Force with the exception of the brakes (those will be replaced very soon). Hope you like!
