It will have a black saddle, the one on it is a test saddle till I finally decide what I want, the SLK was phased out and it as my go to saddle.

Just brought the Parlee home today, no time for outdoor shot so you will have to bare with my kid infested home. Times like this I wish I still had my fill flashes and reflector panels but I did as best I could with equipment I had. Once the weather gets better I will do some outdoor shots.

That S-Works is most definitely hot! The quarq on the S-Works crankset is very appealing
Making a kilometer blurry
Whenever I see "S-Works," I'm always imagining Sean Connery saying "I'll take sworks for $400, Trebek"

Parlee hot, picture not!
S-works smoking hot!
RaceVW, I think the Secteur is a lovely bike, but for the purposes of this thread not so much. That smart phone holder, yucksville, and that saddle woof! I jest, use whatever is comfortable and functional but remove them from the pics

The S-Works ... waaaaay too much white lettering. It looks like a rolling billboard. Tone it down by removing the wheel decals. May be an all white seat. NOT ... yet.

My general rule of thumb for this thread is this - if I saw a particular bike at Peets on a Saturday before the fast group would I do a double take to check it out. If so...probably hot.
In the case of the secteur my thought would be - 'this guy with the disc brakes better not knock over my bike before this ride starts'
not hot.

Nothing against you it's just the Hot or Not thread. It isn't the post a picture of my bike thread. It's all about image.
Some things you need to change:
Flip the stem
Slam the stem
New Saddle and level it
Fix your cables
Get some clipless pedals
Get rid of the fred phone mount
Remove the dork disk asap
Things you did right:
Valve stems lined up
Tire labels lined up
Chain is in the big ring
bars are set level

Stock bikes are generally not hot. You have to work hard on prettying up your bike before even thinking of posting it here. And even if you think you've done it right, it might not even get the love you think it deserves.
It's a tough crowd here...

I'm in my 50's & this is my 1st bike in 40 years & I ride to keep in shape no full on race bike here.
1. Flip the stem
Slam the stem
New Saddle and level it
So to take a picture I screw up the careful fitting that was done at my LBS?
Being uncomfortable is not hot!
2.Fix your cables
Yea I think they are a mess too but, how do you clean up cables that are wrapped to the bars?
3. Get some clipless pedals.
OK I am not a wana be racer boy & I already have a knee replacement so this is no go!
As a side note before I retired from the Fire Dept I sent at least 10 people on bikes who fell because of clip ins to the hospital with various injuries.
4. Get rid of the fred phone mount
You people seem to not like anything that is convenient, my phone is my computer also where am I supposed to put it?
5. Remove the dork disk asap
When you got your bike did some cave man tell you to remove the dork rim brakes & get coaster brakes?
Being scared of the future is not hot!
Disc brakes are the new hotness, I'm just an early adopter!
OK, N00B mistake I probably shouldn't have posted in this thread now that I've seen what it's about but, I think it's hot or I wouldn't have spent the $ on it & in the end that's all that matters.

Not if it means 2.5 inches of steerer tube sticking out the top. IMO a slammed stem with that much tube, which would be the case for the bike in question, looks fake and not hot. I agreed with you other recomendations.

This thread is not about convenience. You can have a $15,000 bike but if it isn't set up (with hotness) or is smothered with phones and bags it would not get a hot either. Like you said, all that matters is you like it and are happy with it. That bike should really have been posted in the "what bike are you riding" though.

Slamming the stem includes cutting the steerer to proper length. I don't consider it slammed until it is cut.

Don't worry Race,
it is a tough crowd here but on this thread I think we're a fun loving, tongue in cheek tough crowd, not arrogant just make judgments based purely on visual appearance (oh wait...), still like Bianchi says I've seen cheap bikes get the "hot" I've seen expensive bikes get the "not". The key is to take pictures before you get fitted or add accessories

Ahh I get now, it this post is the forum equivalent of a Trek Store, If you didn't spend at least $10K don't expect anything but arrogant attitude.
Not the point of this thread
2.Fix your cables
Yea I think they are a mess too but, how do you clean up cables that are wrapped to the bars?
Easy to fix. Just need to pull the inner cable and trim the housings.
3. Get some clipless pedals.
OK I am not a wana be racer boy & I already have a knee replacement so this is no go!
As a side note before I retired from the Fire Dept I sent at least 10 people on bikes who fell because of clip ins to the hospital with various injuries.
Just because some people are idiots doesn't mean you will be a victim as well. I understand your point about medical conditions but there are options that will work. You loose a lot without proper shoes and clipless pedals.
4. Get rid of the fred phone mount
You people seem to not like anything that is convenient, my phone is my computer also where am I supposed to put it?
Get a Garmin Edge and mount it level with the bars out front. Or if you want to use your phone then keep it in you pocket and mount a Wahoo RFLKT in the same way as the Garmin.
5. Remove the dork disk asap
When you got your bike did some cave man tell you to remove the dork rim brakes & get coaster brakes?
Being scared of the future is not hot!
Disc brakes are the new hotness, I'm just an early adopter!
Dork disk is the plastic saucer that stops a poorly installed rear derailleur from going into the spokes. Limit screws are there for a reason.
Well I put the 105 crank set on it & Armadillo tires!
OK, N00B mistake I probably shouldn't have posted in this thread now that I've seen what it's about but, I think it's hot or I wouldn't have spent the $ on it & in the end that's all that matters.

Trek Store? I can't stand Treks and their awful paint designs on most stock models. This thread has nothing to do with price it's all about asthetics. Some of the hottest builds are started with a $500 aluminum frame and old components. No one cares how comfortable you are. It's all about the pro look. It's a vanity thread.
That being said your bike is a very nice bike and is perfect for your needs. We are just busting your balls. You just dropped some fresh meat into the wolves den so to speak.

Obviously, the absurd stack of spacers and the triple crankset disqualify this bike from being hot. ("You're looking at my gut, aren't you? I'm working on it.")
I know, I should have ordered a second fork so I could get the steerer cut short for the photo shoot. I should also get road pedals.
I've got a darker rear derailleur on back order, Otherwise, for a bike that I'm actually going to ride, I think this is as close as I'm going to get to hotness.
What do you think?
