The only difference between rival, force and red is weight. No real reason to replace your brakes unless you are moving to some light weight brakes or something like dura ace.

Both bikes are hot! I'm really liking the Bottechia and the color scheme a bit more though... Something about the shiny lugs, seat stay, chain stay and fork that just makes it pleasing to look at.
Here's mine. 2010 Schwinn Paramount Series 9. All carbon. All SRAM Force with the exception of the brakes (those will be replaced very soon). Hope you like!

BTW, do you ever ride with the Retro-Velo club out in Pasadena (Rose Bowl). I've taken my Bottecchia to ride with them a couple of times. Nice group of people.

The Schwinn and Jamis are HOT! I love the Masi too. I am really surprised how nice the Paramount looks, though.

Aluminium Crusader :-)
The smaller ones aren't mine, and the I no longer have the Scapin or the wheels.
I have a funny feeling I've posted the Scapin on here before, but.....as well

Thank you, EJA! Actually, I have done with the Retro-Velo vintage ride but it's been a while. I need to get back out there again. So I take it you're a local. I haven't taken the Paramount on the vintage ride since it's not quite vintage yet but I have taken my other bikes though:

Thanks, RF. The Paramount rides very well too. The bottom bracket and frame are very stiff. Looks like Schwinn may have discontinued it too. I'll have to call them to confirm.

I thought I posted this bike in the thread but did a quick search and didn't see it. If it is a repeat I apologize. This came up in a BD thread thought it'd be fun to show what you can do with a BD bike. Note the cranks.

Not bad. I have a similar setup but with black tape and red cable housing. I think it has better contrast.

Hi ravenmore,
This just shows that a properly built, properly set up, and well photographed bike can be hot regardless of its origin. My only quibble (and it is a small quibble) are the bars and lever position. Otherwise, great job!

Very hot! But, isnt saddle a bit low (or rather, bar a bit high?).
