For me it was Nicorette, and tons of miles. How about you?

Living and racing back in SoCal. The competition is much deeper there, I also had a great team that raced as a team, I learned A LOT.

HTFU!
This was the wettest year in Southern Ontario in a very, very long time...
It also coincided with the most kilometres I have every put on a bike, just over 10800kms...
I learned to ride in less then perfect weather and became accustomed to riding in monsoons. Of course I rarely headed out in the rain, but the rain did not stop the rides. Also, I developed a love for cold weather riding and have been on the bike consistently up until this past week when the snow gods came for a visit.
Now I'm just waiting for the roads to clear and I'll be out there again!!
It's been a good year!!

Drinking beer in moderation, picking up a nice red wine habit.
Quitting smoking.
Getting a job at Specialized, riding the group ride at lunch every day. That H's a rider TFU.
Then, losing my job and both of my bikes, moving cross country.
It's been a helluva year.

commiting to racing and the changes that came with it. i.e. losing 35 lbs, intervals, 20 min TT's and drinking less, but better beer.

Depending on who you ask, 2008 either was the year I "found the light" or "went off the deep end". I lost 110 pounds in 2007, so this spring I decided the 12 mile rides on my dork comfort bike weren't cutting it, and got a decent hybrid. 6 weeks later, I decided 40 and 50 mile rides on the hybrid weren't cutting it, and took the plunge. Two nice road bikes and a new synthetic fiber wardrobe later, I managed about 3,000 blissful miles in the second half of the year, and I guess I'm in for the long haul. Can't decide whether my birthday next month would be best celebrated with a fluid trainer, or that dead sexy Eriksen titanium seat post I've been lusting over.
Next year, I'm gong to ride across Iowa, and I'm considering hooking up with the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society 'Team in Training', either for a century ride, or possibly a sprint length triathlon. If I can figure out how not to drown - I don't float near as well as I used to.
