Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

May I direct you to the "Some people have too much money" thread? LOL j/k. Don't forget to post the pic after you get them on that tandem.

Yes, I want to see that tandem.

Just purchased a Campy wind-proof jacket and a Thomson MP Post.

I know numerous others have posted similarly before, but it's better than starting a new "I love my CAAD9" thread.

But I do love my new CAAD9

Well, we needed a second set of wheels for the wheel pit/truck. The Zipps will be the race wheels, and the current wheels will be the backups. So, you see we really did need them.

I'll post a pic when we get them.

Six of these, in various flavors, for this weekend's two 80-mile rides.

I'm excited to try the cookies 'n' cream variety.

I set a silly little rule for myself: if I want to buy another piece of bike stuff (tubes excluded), I have to ride another 500 miles.

It does the trick quenching my lust.

I had an unexpected bonus at work, and my wife suggested (she is very supportive, I think she just likes me to be gone for hours at at time) that I get the new wheels and computer I wanted. I got a set of Campy Eurus 2-way fit wheels (PBK shipped less than $900), a new Garmin 705, and three Hutchinson tires. I love the wheels, they are really smooth, and I may figure out how to use the Garmin for more than just basic bike computing within the next year
