Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

She is absolutely the BEST! She let me drag her around to bike shop after bike shop to see what was out there and she hates riding. We went to the Toronto Bike Show and she let me walk out with it......a keeper...most definitely. The weather may actually be warming up enough for me to ride to and from work this week (up to 35-50F).

Cheers,

Brian J.

Felt AR4

Will be adding a Thomson Stem, Conti Tires, and Fizik Tape. Possibly a saddle... gonna ride the factory saddle first and see how I like it.

Soloist Assassin, how do you like it? My S-Works is practically my favorite helmet I've ever worn, so I want to hear what the Prevail is really like. I hope to not need a replacement, though..

Just ordered a Velocity A23 rim, a no-name (but good, by all accounts) hub, and DT spokes - going to try a little wheelbuilding.

some forte lunar tubes. puncture to my front tube made me decide that new tubes are needed and I have been wanting to try these ones out. (oh and the weight reduction is pretty awesome too; 0.202825281 lb to be exact haha)

I was the same way. I loved my S-Works. I had full intentions of buying another one. The Prevail fits just as good, it's lighter, the retention system is better(not that the old one was bad), and it's supposed to be more aero. All in all, I could of just bought another S-Works, but this one was an improvement, albeit small improvement, either way I don't like buying the same things twice, unless they are that good. It's great, but I wouldn't buy one if you don't need one. The S-Works you have is a great helmet.

Just blew $363.60 (after the %20 off $419 at regular price) Velo Orange sale. Got the fenders, Racks for the Porteur build I am doing and a Campagne handle bar bag and Hunter rack to mount it on for my Daily driver. Now I have to wait for it to show up! LOL

So, as suggested by a few members on the forum. Instead of upgrading my Allez to 2x10 (for now) I just ordered my new bike.
SuperiorLite - SL Race Cat 3 - 105 Groupset in a Medium
https://superiorlitebikes.com/slracec3105.php
I went with the Unpainted 12k carbon color scheme.

I will be meeting with the owner of the company at the end of the week to go for a ride and pick it up. I'll post pictures then.

New bikes rock!

Hopefully you get the carbon "monocoque" frame and not the "manocoque" as pictured.

Its funny, i just noticed that too. I kind of like the Man-o-coque

I believe that was 2010 bike anyway, with demo stickers and such.

I don't even have to give the bike a name or a nick name - It is, what it is. Don't be surprised if you see somebody start posting as 'Manocoque"

I actually just spoke with owner, and they have 1 more frame that has it spelled that way if I want it. He's not sure if it's my size. I said if it is, I will take it. Lol. Make's it only that much more custom.
