Did/has your CF bike aged gracefully?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What a stupid statement. I am still in my 40s, but I am no heavier than I am when I was 21, so why shouldn't I ride a light bike? Age and weight are not the same thing, and even some heavier people might enjoy the cf ride quality.

Yeah, I'd say that was one of the most ridiculous comments I've seen on BF. I'm 50 and I'm riding classic steel, but I see nothing wrong with good equipment either. I've been riding with guys that are older than me, and they look fine on new equipment. I can't imagine handicapping myself on a 200k ride just for appearances. In fact, I can barely manage to do anything just for appearances.

This isn't mine -- it's at the local shop.
The carbon looks to be unfinished, and has gone sort of 'fluffy' and rough on the surface.

My Concorde TVT '92...Rides just as well today as it did years ago. A completely different ride and "attitude" than my current/modern carbon bikes.

I've told 531 this before, but this frame has a bit of history. The rider (Tomasini) had a top 10 overall and won the white jersey as best young rider in the Giro Andy Hampsten won. He won the Sun Tour in Australia later the same year. Many of the overseas riders sell their bikes at the end of the tour, which is held in October. It's a shame the parts have been removed as he had some exotic gear on it for the time, including a custom 'integrated' bar/stem.
