Well, after years of "wasting" money in very expensive/high end cars ranging from Astons, Mercedes, Porsche, Jaguar, and finally an Audi, I decided to go as basic and cheapo as possible. I simply got tired of cars. I went to the complete opposite end of the spectrum by buying the one thing I hated the most: and SUV!! This was about 1.5 years ago when gas was $4+/gal. and people could not give away SUVs then. I bought a 10 year old Land Rover Discovery with over 100K+ miles in it, cosmetically crappy, but running very well. 15 MPG later, it still takes me very well from point A to point B just like it did on day one. It is uncomfortable, rough, has more wasteful room and power in it than I'll ever need, it is the cheapest car at any point in time in the parking lot at work, leaks inside from one of the 2 sunroofs when it rains, the wipers need "a hand" to get going, and I hate the living crap out of it. However, not enough for it to make me go get another car. When I do, it will likely be either a Mini Cooper or a Toyota Prius.
How much is it compared to my bikes? The cheapest set of wheels I have is worth more than my car LOL...............

LR Discovery 's, with some modifications, you'll have a nice expedition/trail rig.

Cool Camaro, although I suspect there is a reason that you took the picture when it was so dark...
Even the biggest German car fans will admit that if you want lower repair bills, always go Japanese over used German.
Every time this topic arrives, there's always a few ******bags who post their Ferrari pictures to impress a bunch of strangers. I'm surprised this thread made it to page 4 before the first one.
Sorry, no pics, but I have a Felt F3SL that is only 6 months old, and a 2000 Acura TL that is now 10 years old, so it is probably only worth a few hundred dollars more than the bike. However, I will be in the market for a new car in about 3 months, so then my car will be about as high end as the bike. I am going back and forth between a new TL with 6 speed manual and AWD and a couple years old 545 or maybe even M5 for about the same price, but now umd has scared me into thinking I should stay Japanese.

I put that picture up as a joke.
My car is the Yukon in the bike picture as noted in my post.
Some people can't take a joke.

I have a 2010 Honda Element, 2009 Spec Roubaix Pro. I did get NAV option though, to offset the carbon jealousy from one ride to the other.
I bough the car to tote the bike, all pics I have of it are from behind with gear/bike in the hold.

I own a 2008 Corolla (purchased new) that now has about 25k miles and has been serviced according to the manual. I ride a 2005 Trek Pilot 2.1 (purchased used from CL) that I am still in the process of upgrading various parts (I really need new wheels, I have serious boat anchors right now). My car is worth much more than my bike, but I likely will never be able to afford a high-end bike so I work with what I have. Both the Corolla and the Pilot get me to where I want to go.

Until recently (G-D car thieves!) I had a much higher end bike than car (new Cervelo with Red v. '92 Honda Prelude). The bike on the rack was worth more than the car underneath.
We replaced it with an Audi wagon, which is a great car, but I kinda miss the little Honda.

only a bikeophile could be upset with having to replace an old car with a new one which would mean that their car would be worth more than their bike...haha

Just all me an enabler.
I happened across it because I am searching for a car now that I have some cash. Currently no car so my bikes win by default.
But some onf you guys are overvaluing your bikes and going low on the cars if my market is any indication.

I have a few bikes, the one I ride most is a look 595.
also between my wife and I we have a BMW x5 3.0 diesel, bmw 530i m sport and a 2009 nissan patrol 3.0 diesel.
cars are worth mcuh more than the bikes.
what I find funny is the fact that my wife and I will jump on my 15 year old worn out yamaha tenere together and take it any chance we get.

Well, in part, yes. But it was a great little car. 18 years old, still got 27mpg, easy to park, and it went like hell.
