Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sidi shoe size issue

Here is my issue I just bought some sidi shoes I wear a 9.5 shoe so I went with a 43 too small hurt my foot like crazy. Returned them and went for the next size up 44 now the shoes fits but just don't feel snug enough. Is there anyway or anything I can to to shrink the shoe up or should I just accept it? Any input would be appreciated.

I'd try the 44's on the road - maybe with thicker socks. Sidi's usually have enough straps/velcro, etc. to snug them up, plus your feet are likely to swell up a bit on a longer ride.

Except for the Megas, Sidis are narrow. Maybe you need a smaller, wider shoe. I switched to Specialized for this reason.

I'd go with thicker socks. My sidis fit tight for the first month I owned them so I would wear thin PI socks, but now the shoes are become loose as they're broken in and I need a more standard size sock.
