Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rhabdomyolysis is real and can kill you very quickly. While I agree with everyone here that Unsuccessful Troll is Unsuccessful, there are risks associated with overexertion that aren't just related to water/calorie intake.

you do not have to bring food on any ride. You should, however, bring money. They have these places called "mini-marts", usually associated with gas stations, that have a wide array of calorie-rich and tasty foods that you can exchange your money for. I recommend the ho-ho's.

Lots of ho-ho's.

Just eat a very big breakfast, don't forget to go to the bathroom and bring one or two regular sized water bottles. If you sweat so much that you stop sweating then drink alot of water and take a break. Remember it dosen't have to be non stop take a water break every few miles.
