Friend of mine is just getting into road cycling
Rides on platform pedals, in jeans, no helmet, etc... Won't listen to any of my advice whatsoever. My other friend asked him how long he thought it would take him to be able to ride in the TDF, training full time, with no job or distractions, and he replied 6 months, MAYBE a year. This is the same guy that crashed on his bike (without wearing a helmet of course) because he thought you were supposed to use the rear brake while descending so the bike doesn't understeer
Do you guys know anyone like this?

Darwin will explain the finer points of taking advice to that goofball soon enough. If he's a really good friend, write down or record his ridiculous comments so that later when he has conformed, you can remind him how he had it all figured out from day one.
