Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Favorite book for training

Just bought a hr monitor and am looking for a good book to introduce me to interval training, nutrition etc. Would like to do a race next season after a lot of training and group riding.

Search didnt bring up anything too exciting.

What worked for you guys ? Thanks

From the books I've read and heard about. The best one's out there are either

The cyclists training bible: https://www.amazon.com/Cyclists-Train...151797-9811536

Or one of my personal favorites,

The time crunched cyclist: https://www.amazon.com/Time-Crunched-.../dp/1934030473

The time crunched book is written by Chris Carmichael who was lance Armstrong's old coach. It's a smaller book focused more on the important stuff and not soo much the nitty number crunching the cycling bible has.

Either book will teach you everything you need to know.
