couple of questions
1. I love road cycling, there is nothing like it.
2. I was able to use my iphone through my bike shorts and even use the screen. Works pretty well.
3. I am having trouble with my inner tubes; sometimes I buy the cheapest ones for around $4 and find that the valve mechanism is flawed at times. The valve is on an angle such that my pump (wrench force floor pump) always has trouble making a good seal and lets some air escape and I need to fidget with the valve to ensure no leakage. Is this an issue that can be solved with buying better inner tubes? Rarely, and disastrously, the valve breaks with I try to ensure a good seal.
4. I averaged 35km/h today, sick.
5. Finally, I have been riding my CAAD9 tiagra for a couple of years now, almost everything stock. I have some money and am thinking of getting another road... in the same situation would you go for a whole new bike (all carbon fibre etc), or upgrade my current...
see you on the road.

I use $2 tubes. Had problems with $6 tubes.
Just takes practice and care when connecting and using the pump.
Get the new bike, use the old one for rain rides.
Keep having fun.

2. I was able to use my iphone through my bike shorts and even use the screen. Works pretty well. THAT'S GREAT BUT WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO INTERRUPT YOUR RIDE TO ANSWER THE PHONE?

A QUALITY TUBE IS ONLY A COUPLE OF DOLLARS MORE AND WELL WORTH IT.
4. I averaged 35km/h today, sick. VERY COOL.
5. Finally, I have been riding my CAAD9 tiagra for a couple of years now, almost everything stock. I have some money and am thinking of getting another road... in the same situation would you go for a whole new bike (all carbon fibre etc), or upgrade my current... I'D SAY UPGRADE. THE CAAD9 IS A GREAT FRAME - BUY SOME NEW WHEELS. WHAT I DO IS BUY STUFF ON SALE EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NO USE FOR IT YET BUT EVENTUALLY I WILL. I have a set of 10 speed dura-ace shifters that I bought for $200 brand new just sitting around waiting for the right time.
