Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah I ordered it, the two cages, and two purist bottles. $150 is free shipping, I spent $160. So it was like getting one bottle free. They don't seem to have the selection Fairwheel has. I did notice, they sell KMC chains a good bit cheaper however.

Have you thought about the New Ultimate seatpost collar? It is a few bucks more, but lighter than the KCNC one, and maybe a bit better looking.

That is nice. It looks better than my KCNC collar on my Trek. Good find once again.

soloist assassin are these the same bars you got? what did you say yours weighed? did you get them cheaper than in the link? i might order these instead of the 3T ergonova team bars.

https://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_S...ls&ProdID=2082

i still think the ergonovas look better and both have the reach and drop im looking for with the same style drops.

before buying my Woodman Deathgrip SL Ti I found this other version:

https://www.woodmancomponents.com/Web...20;%2002:40:30

Deathgrip TCSL Ti (specially made taller clamp for carbon frames).

it has a taller collar height 14mm. And is more beefy at only one gram more. 11g claimed.

Sadly I couldn't find any online for sale yet. Their Woodman Post EL (carbon and Al) all ship with a machined aluminum cradle now so actual weights are 10g more than previous weights. I guess people were breaking their old carbon cradles. Plus the post and clamp seem to be really strong & beefy as is.

I'm happy with the weights so far though. 132g for my 31.6 Woodman EL Post and 10g for the Deathgrip SL Ti Seatclamp (34.9).

I will say I like those heavy ass bars, even if they are stupid heavy. They feel, and look great. The internal routing is cool too. So far I think they are worth the weight penalty.

yeah ive heard good things about them for sure. if i was in the 13lb range like you i probably wouldnt care about the weight but im hoping to save 100g or so with new bars. i also think the 3T bars will go with everything better since i have a 3T stem and seatpost. they are also the size and shape i want.

I understand. The only reason I considered them, is they were only the difference of 13.29, and 13.42.

ill agree ill likely get there. the Force chainrings are actually quiet light (i know that thanks to soloist assassin) so i wouldnt save to much weight there but they would look better in black/carbon thats for sure. red chainring bolts would also look good. i doubt i would buy the bottle cage bolts thogh since the ones i have are already light and you normally dont see them. i do plan to do some derailleur tunning though. first will likely be the pulleys then the bolts.

thanks for the sugestions

Not weight, a color thing. Also, I'm interviewing for a job in Memphis. Hopefully some good riding there! I'm just trying to feed the addiction!
