Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Does anybody have one of these masterpieces? Or know anyone with one?

The ladies man would highly approve of this bike.

Chad, don't you run DA? The Record is alluring, isn't it?

Catonec, the poster above me, posted a picture of a scene from a movie called The Ladies Man (not a misspelling).

Btw, I'm probably older than you, son.
Relax, he probably meant to type 'song'.

Yes, I do! Record is sexy to me so long as it is on its proper European bike. It wouldn't go well on a Trek or Specialized or something like that.

I think it's time to stop using sex words to describe bicycles.

If I was CEO of Specialized or Trek I'd be losing sleep now that Ringling Bros has aquired Look and initiated a major thrust to transform cycling aesthetics with the introduction of this new BOZO carbon racing line.

You shouldn't be surprised. A lot of these people probably think that Treks are the pinnacle of bicycle development.

Kinda like those old farts who still think Cadillac is a status symbol, and you've really "made it" if you have one.

I think an El Lissitzky bike would be pretty crazy. Observe:

Perhaps someone a little bit more toned down. AM Cassandre?

But really how do you go wrong with Raymond Loewy?
