Bottecchia USA
Just got my Bottecchia USA bike and I am very happy. Carbon frame and Dura-Ace for $1799 is not a bad deal. While some of the parts such as wheels, handlebar, seat/post, and stem may not be top of the line I am actually pretty impressed. I don't find it necessary to change any of these parts. I payed $60 for a tune up and the only thing I changed was the break pads which several costumers have complained about.
Just looking at how well the bike was packed gives you an indication that these guys are serious about their business.
I highly recommend it.

Is this the same Bottecchia that Greg LeMond rode to victory in the Tour de France? So it represents the great heritage of Bottecchia racing bicycles? The company started by Ottavio Bottecchia, the first Italian to win the Tour de France?

I have one bought 2 years ago great bike. I ended up putting on ultegra brakes 6600 brakes, upgrade the crank to a shimano 105 after 5000 miles, and just built my own set of Velocity wheels. It is a great bike with what comes with it and a huge deal for a few upgrades. Very steady smooth ride and I like the saddle.

I got an aluminum (Columbus Zonal just like Cinellis) Bottecchia four years ago and was similarly impressed. Out of the box only the brakes needed minor adjustments. It cost only $1500 with a full Record Carbon group and a sub-1600g wheelset. The frame has smooth welds and is very nicely painted. Last month I bought a very snazzy Cyfac and moved the parts to it, but plan to rebuild the Bottecchia as a backup.
It looks to me that BD is phasing out BottecchiaUSA because their (Ebay) inventories are so low.

Lookit kids, there is nothing "wrong" with getting a BottechiaUSA or a Motobecane or whatever bike. They may offer a very good deal for the money.
But you gotta admit, their "DEAL of the CENTURY," "HALF MSRP," "LEGENDARY BRAND," etc. marketing tactics are misleading at best.

No. That Bottecchia closed its doors in the early 1990s. Bottecchia USA is a privately owned company in Houston, Texas. In North America they market primarily over the internet.https://www.manta.com/c/mmy62ct/bottecchia-usa

I knew when I purchased the bike that the brand probably has nothing to do with the original Bottecchia. And Frankly, I didn't care. If I was going to buy based on brand it probably would not be Bottecchia anyway. All I cared is that the bike comes with a decent ADK carbon frame, dura-ace components, and FSA carbon crank. That, based on my knowledge of prices so far, is a good deal. Ill try to post some pictures tomorrow.

considering that a complete DA group costs around 16-1700 bucks, the fact that it has wheels is a pretty decent deal... ride it long and hard!!! you know, the bike... ok, maybe the wife too...

Caveat emptor with "complete" DA group.
A lot of times these sellers claim the bike has Ultegra or DA or Red or whatever but it only has the advertised shifters/FD/RD....the cranks/BB/Brakes etc may be spec'd out with fsa/cane creek/tektro etc.
Not that there is anything wrong with that, and plenty of bricks/mortar bikes are made similarly to hit certain price points.
Again be an educated consumer and get what is best for you.
