Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Open source spreadsheet - seat post sizes

I have transcribed the Great Sheldon Browns seat post size database into a Google docs spreadsheet. There is also a column at the end for other details such as original components, frame details, etc. With the wealth of knowledge BF members have I believe we can have something to share a lot of information. If you are interested in contributing you can insert a row if you know how, or just add at the bottom in the first empty row and it will be sorted occasionally. There are separate sheets for road, mtn., and BMX bikes. Please contribute if you can.

It has always amazed me that the frame builders could not get together and set some standards. There are over 40 different seat post sizes.
