Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Video Fit or Wheels?

I am having a debate with myself. Should I get a fit now (a local guy who is a specialized bg master cert fitter) or buy the Boyd vitesse wheels I have been eying.

Just coming here for some of your input or suggestions.

I have the stock Mavic cpx22's on my Allez m2 compact apex... I had a basic fit, I am comfortable on the bike but I have a nagging feeling that I can squeeze some more power out of my body.

As for riding, I am currently doing alot of training for crits which includes about 100 or so miles of interval training and about 50 miles of climbing with about 6000 ft of climbing. Still getting my fitness where it needs to be.

Does it mean that if you get one, you won't get another, or you will get another later? If you plan on eventually getting both, then get the fit first. Fit is more important than wheels unless they are total crap. Good fit will probably make more difference than "better" wheels, unless your current fit is OK.
