Discovered this on a Zipp 202 brake track..please advise
It appears to be a small nick, or chip. I can't really tell what it is. It also appears to be filled (mostly) with a light red, or orangish substance. What should I do? The rims were just purchased 2nd hand (eBay) and I have not rode them, nor mounted tires.
Thanks for your advice!

Denham: great thanks
kophinos: I was wondering if you, could provide me advise on something

kophinos: what is that?
kophinos: one moment please
kophinos: (that's the brake track of a 202)
kophinos: however, i'm concerned that that appears to be a small nick, or chip
Denham: That seems top be an inclusion
Denham: *to be
kophinos: please explain
Denham: it possible to say with 100% confidence - seems to be a piece of molded resin that was molded into the rim
kophinos: so it will not affect the reliability (safety) of the wheel?
Denham: it will not be an issue
kophinos: it's not completely flush with the rim by-the-way, there is a very small area that is below the finish, ie, which is why it thought it was a crack
kophinos: and i had though the colored stuff to be residue from the cork break shoes
kophinos: because it's orangish
kophinos: (however its solid, i tried cleaning the area with alcohol)
Denham: this is a cosmetic issue - will not influence performance or durability
kophinos: i just want to be sure that its wont affect the structural integrity of the wheel, it doesn't bother me too otherwise.
kophinos: thank you for your assistance
Denham: you are most welcome
i suppose that settles it!

rim is a 2010, seller claimed very low milage. zipp says it was an imperfection, as long as it does not affect the wheels performance i'm okay with that.
